If I were engaged to be marry, would I give back the engagement ring if the marriage was called off?Yes, I will give back the engagement ring because the ring is a symbolical symbol of a promise of marriage. It does not matter who broke the promise of marriage first. I will give back that gorgeous engagement ring because now it only represent a broken promise of marriage.
And if the marriage should end in a divorce, I will keep the rings because I would have felt that I earned every stone in those rings.
